The Splendor of Flowers!

Hello 49 and Market Fans! And welcome to the Vicki Boutin fans also! Today I’m sharing four new cards with you that I created with the stunning new collection from 49 and Market called The Flower Emporium. This collection is a Vicki Boutin creation, and you are going to fall in love!

Those of you who follow me know that I am a floral fanatic. I mean…I LOVE flowers!! And besides my design studio, my happy place will always be somewhere surrounded by flowers! You probably don’t realize it, but florals have a very strong effect on us. Luther Burbank once said; “Flowers make people better, happier and more helpful. They are sunshine, food and medicine to the mind and soul.”  

Now, we all know that flowers are beautiful, of course. But because they are such delicate works of nature’s art, they can also evoke very strong emotions in people. And look at all the inspiration that they have provided through the centuries for so many. Think about it; painters, musicians, writers, poets and even people like me. And you!

Florals can light up our senses in so many ways. They can recall memories; yellow roses mean my mother. Lilacs mean my grandmother’s house. Orchids make my sister smile. Succulents make my aunt stress. Flowers are beautiful memories and so many wonderful expressions of love.

Flowers can be mood changers. The shapes, colors, textures and smells. They can lift our spirits when we are down, show hope and beauty in times of sadness and help us celebrate in times of happiness.

Nature’s stunning masterpieces! So, the next time you come upon a beautiful flower, whether it’s in a garden, a vase or even a bundle with a bow on it, truly take in its beauty! Let it work its splendor on you. Your day will be that much better for it, I promise!
